1. GENERAL CONDITIONS

This website is operated by Laredo Sabers LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Laredo Sabers,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By visiting our website and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), including all policies referenced herein.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our website or services.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products and services.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. ELIGIBILITY

By using this site, you represent that:

  • You are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or
  • You have obtained parental or guardian consent.

You may not use our products for unlawful or unauthorized purposes.

3. INDEPENDENT COMPANY STATEMENT

Laredo Sabers LLC is an independent company.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with:

  • Lucasfilm Ltd.

  • The Walt Disney Company

All trademarks, logos, and franchise properties remain the property of their respective owners.

Our products are independently designed collectible items inspired by science fiction and fantasy aesthetics and are not official licensed merchandise unless explicitly stated.

4. PRODUCT NATURE & COLLECTOR DISCLAIMER

Our products are collectible prop replicas intended for display, cosplay, or responsible recreational use.

They:

  • Are not toys
  • May contain electronic components
  • May include small parts
  • Are not intended for unsafe combat or hazardous activities

Use of our products is at your own risk.

We are not responsible for injury, damage, or misuse resulting from improper handling, modification, or unauthorized alterations.

5. CUSTOM, LIMITED, AND PREORDER ITEMS

Many of our products are:

  • Limited production runs
  • Small-batch manufactured
  • Custom-built
  • Offered via preorder

By placing a preorder, you acknowledge:

  • Production timelines are estimates only.
  • Delays may occur due to manufacturing or logistics.
  • Orders may not be canceled once production has begun, unless otherwise stated in our Return Policy.

6. PRICING & ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Prices are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or cancel any order
  • Limit quantities per customer
  • Cancel orders suspected of fraud or reseller activity

If we cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you using the information provided at checkout.

7. RETURNS (14-DAY SATISFACTION GUARANTEE)

We offer a 14-day return period from the date of confirmed delivery.

To qualify:

  • The item must be unused and in original condition.
  • The item must be returned in original packaging.
  • The product must not show signs of modification, installation damage, impact damage, or misuse.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a verified manufacturing defect.

Custom, modified, preorder, clearance, or final-sale items may not be eligible for return unless defective.

Refunds are issued after inspection and approval.

8. LIMITED 30-DAY WARRANTY

We provide a limited 30-day warranty from the date of delivery covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

This warranty covers:

  • Factory-installed electronics
  • Internal chassis components
  • Mechanical locking systems
  • Switches and wiring installed by Laredo Sabers LLC

This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Normal wear and cosmetic damage
  • Impact or misuse
  • Liquid damage
  • Improper charging
  • Incompatible batteries
  • Unauthorized disassembly or modification
  • Installation of third-party components

If a defect is verified within 30 days, we may, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace defective components
  • Replace the product

Proof of purchase and photo/video documentation may be required.

Chassis Installation, Electronics & Warranty

Certain products require installation of an internal chassis and electronics configuration. This service is performed by a trusted third-party specialist.

Chassis installation and electronics configuration typically require 3 to 4 weeks, depending on workload, parts availability, and build complexity. This timeframe begins once the hilt and all required components are available and ready for installation.

Please note:

  • This installation timeline is separate from product manufacturing and separate from shipping transit time.
  • Timelines are estimates and may be subject to reasonable delays.
  • Orders requiring chassis installation will not ship until installation and final quality inspection are complete.
  • If a product is ordered as an empty hilt (without electronics installation), this installation timeline does not apply.

30-Day Limited Electronics Warranty

Installed electronics are covered by a 30-day limited warranty beginning on the date of delivery.

This warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use conditions.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper use, heavy impact, or dueling beyond recommended limits
  • Liquid exposure
  • Incorrect battery installation or use of unapproved batteries
  • Improper charging practices
  • Software alterations beyond standard user settings
  • Disassembly, rewiring, or modification of the chassis
  • Normal wear and cosmetic damage

Opening, modifying, or attempting to repair the electronics voids the warranty.

If an issue arises within the 30-day period, customers must contact Laredo Sabers first for troubleshooting instructions. If necessary, the saber may need to be returned for inspection and coordination with the installer.

Repairs After Warranty Period

After the 30-day warranty period has expired, repair services may still be available for a fee.

Repair costs will depend on the nature of the issue, required parts, and labor. Customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping to Laredo Sabers
  • Replacement parts (if needed)
  • Labor costs
  • Return shipping back to the customer

Repair timelines may vary depending on installer availability and parts supply.

Battery & Charging Responsibility

Lithium-ion batteries must be handled responsibly.

Customers agree to:

  • Use only the recommended battery type and specifications
  • Insert batteries with correct polarity
  • Use approved chargers and follow safe charging practices
  • Never leave charging batteries unattended

Laredo Sabers is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper battery handling, misuse, third-party chargers, or unauthorized battery substitutions.

Batteries are considered consumable components and are not covered under warranty unless defective upon arrival.

9. MODIFICATIONS VOID WARRANTY

Any modification, rewiring, firmware flashing, internal disassembly, or installation of third-party components voids the limited warranty.

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION PRIOR TO CHARGEBACK

If you experience an issue with your order, you agree to contact us directly at [your email] before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

We maintain detailed records of orders, communications, tracking confirmations, and delivery documentation. In the event of a chargeback, we reserve the right to submit all relevant documentation to the payment processor or financial institution.

Nothing in this section limits your legal rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All product designs, internal chassis systems, mechanical locking systems, branding elements, artwork, photography, and written content are the intellectual property of Laredo Sabers LLC unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer proprietary internal systems
  • Reproduce mechanical designs
  • Manufacture derivative works
  • Commercially replicate our products

Unauthorized reproduction or commercial resale may result in legal action.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We may provide access to third-party services (such as payment processors or shipping carriers). We are not responsible for their performance, availability, or errors.

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

All products and services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind except as expressly stated in Section 8.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Laredo Sabers LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of data
  • Personal injury resulting from misuse
  • Damage caused by modification or improper installation

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

15. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Laredo Sabers LLC and its members, officers, contractors, and affiliates from any claims arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your misuse of products
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights

16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & BINDING ARBITRATION

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY — THIS AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Texas, United States.

Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only.

You waive the right to:

  • Participate in class actions
  • Participate in class-wide arbitration
  • Have disputes decided by a jury

Laredo Sabers LLC may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.

If arbitration is deemed unenforceable, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

17. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States.

18. SEVERABILITY

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Return Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Laredo Sabers LLC.
